My friends Mark & Gina Schiltz had a baby boy, Fintan, born to them late last year. Unfortunately, Fintan had a heart condition that required a transplant. After a long and weary wait, Fintan's family learned he was getting a new heart - on Christmas, no less! The surgery went well, but he's still got a long way to go on a rough road. As you can probably guess, this has been rough on Mark & Gina and their four other kids - both emotionally and financially. To help them in their time of need, some of their friends and I decided to help by doing what we do best - making music. The lineup of performers include me & my band, Dick Smith, Dave Ramont, Robbie Fulks, Perry Jordan (of Heartsfield), Dennis O'Brien, and even Fintan's uncle, Ben Schiltz. Tickets are onsale now. All the proceeds from the show will go to a Fintan Schiltz fund that has been established at Charter One Bank. UPDATE: 4/11/08 - Fintan was released from the hospital yesterday! He and his family will be staying for a week at Kohl's House to "train" them on how to take care of Fintan. Though he's coming home soon, he still needs our help!
