One Mic Stand is a songwriter showcase and the brainchild of Mike Alberts. Mike has been running One Mic Stand for years at The Grafton in Chicago, next to the Old Town School of Folk Music and decided to give it a go out in suburbia. This will be the fourth One Mic Stand, and the previous three have all been rousing successes - so let's keep that trend going and pack the place once again.
The House Pub's Upstairs Lounge is a really nice sounding intimate room with big leather chairs and couches. It's in the Arcada Theater building at the corner of Rt. 64 and 1st Avenue - around the corner from Starbucks. Entrance is on the west side of the building (locals will know it as the former home of Scotland Yard). I'm playing in the middle slot with Mike Alberts up front and Michael Heaton closing it out. We'll get things rolling around 6:30, but get there earlier if you want to snag a seat!
